In 2017 I took a step away from my 'day job' and decided to follow my passion for practicing yoga to bring the benefits to friends and the wider community in the DC area.

I started practicing yoga in 2003 and taught my first classes in 2011 while I lived in Juba, South Sudan. Those classes, taught to development workers, international entrepreneurs, and local South Sudanese, were a wonderful example of what yoga provides both on and off the mat.  Participants enjoyed the physical activity and meditative moments in class, and also leveraged those benefits to handle the stress of living in an unpredictable environment.

As I embarked on my yoga.ing adventure, I thought about how crucial yoga's "off the mat" benefits are in finding physical, mental and emotional balance in our hectic lives. What I carry off the mat, and into my daily life, has shown me the role yoga can play in the journey to be a stronger, more balanced and healthier person.

I'd be honored to help you find your 'balance for every day'!
